Chateau Cherbuliez “Closed Due to a Discrepancy”
Earlier today, DNAInfo reported the Department of Health shuttered Chateau Cherbuliez on October 16 after hitting the restaurant with 44 violation points stemming from “filth flies” to “contaminated food.”
NYNightlife received a statement from Daniel Koch, who has a hand in the French bistro. Mr. Koch stated:
“Chateau Cherbuliez is open for business and will continue to operate under normal hours of operation, including tonight. Chateau was temporarily closed due to a discrepancy in the address on our permits that occurred during the transfer from CrossBar to Chateau Cherbuliez…. Chateau had not been given a proper inspection prior to the transfer…”
In related news, an invitation only weekly Thursday night dinner party is scheduled to begin this Thursday, October 25 at Chateau Cherbuliez.
